善用ResearchGate做学术

ResearchGate有没有听过？

国内，有一部分人对这个网站比较了解，但大部分人可能对这个网站可能没那么了解，在国外，ResearchGate名气可就非常大了。

去年还有好几个非常牛的投资机构给这个平台投了5260万美元，其中还包括比尔盖茨。

所以这个平台现在发展得特别火。

那它到底是干嘛的？

简单来说，它特别像国内一些比较知名的学术论坛，或者说微博。

来自全世界的大咖和普通学者在里面分享各种各样的学术成果，交流各种各样的学术问题。

这个圈子很小的时候大家都没有关注它，可是当越来越多的学者把成果放在这个平台上的时候，这个平台的影响力就爆炸了。

现在这个平台上已经有1500多万个科研工作者了，光诺贝尔奖得主就有68个。

这个平台上有很多来自全世界的各个研究领域的大牛。能看到这些大牛平时在干什么，有什么样的成果，是不是特别吸引人。

这还不是最吸引人的。

最吸引人的是，很多大牛的成果在一些数据库下载是要收费的，但是他们经常会把自己的成果放在这个平台上，供你免费下载。

虽然这个引起了很多争议，也让ResearchGate吃了很多官司，但是确实方便了我们这些做科研的人。

下面讲一下如何用这个平台帮我们做学术。

首先你要登陆进去这个平台，并且注册成为他们的用户。

ResearchGate的网址是：https://www.researchgate.net/

点击Join for Free开始注册账号。

根据你的真实情况，选择一个你的身份。

这里可不要随便选哦，因为会影响到系统为你自动推送的一些研究，系统推送的一般都还算是比较贴切的。

选完身份之后系统会让你填工作单位。

这时候可以填也可以不填，如果你实在不愿意别人知道你是在哪个单位工作的话，选择右下角的skip跳过。

接下来就需要填你的个人信息和邮箱了，这里需要额外注意的是，你的邮箱必须得是你单位的邮箱。

当年我注册的时候，这个邮箱必须得是学校的edu邮箱。听说这几年已经放宽了，连QQ邮箱都可以注册了，你们自己尝试一下。

这一步结束之后，应该还需要到你注册的邮箱里面验证一下，总之这一步结束了，基本上就没有什么问题了。

登录进去之后，不用我说你们也知道怎么做，大家平时玩知乎，玩微博都很溜了。

我就简单地说一下，如何用它来辅助做学术。

登录进去之后是这个页面。

左上角有Home、Questions和Jobs个选项，我通常只关注Home这一栏，你们感兴趣的可以都看一下，说不定在Jobs中还能找到一份自己满意的科研工作。

在Home中有系统为你推送的很多研究和话题，当然了，这些研究未必是你想要的话题。

如果你需要特定搜索一个话题或者某个学者的话，可以在上方的搜索框中直接搜索。

比如说我搜索一下浙江大学的金伟良教授。

从搜索结果中就能够很清楚地看到，第二个学者就是我要找的人。

进入金老师的主页之后呢，我对他的研究非常感兴趣，所以我选择了Research。

在这里，我找到了很多关于金老师研究的一些信息。

在Research Items下面有很多选项，比如说我对金老师的Article非常感兴趣，我就选择他的Article，发现右边出现了好多金老师的文章。

你想看哪个文章，就点哪个文章，比如我随便点了一篇文章。

这里有关于这篇文章的所有信息，这篇文章没有Download，但是你可以点击Request full-text，向作者索要这篇文章。

旁边还有Related research，意思就是相关的研究。

你可以在下面找到很多和本文研究主题相关的其他人的研究成果。

这简直太赞了。

很多人不是担心自己找不到参考文献吗，不是担心找不到文献读吗？

这里就是很好的文献数据库啊。在Related research下面找到的所有文献，你都可以拿过来读一下，而且都和你的研究高度相关。

你还可以点击Scores，还能看看你感兴趣的这位学者的一些相关指标，这你在其他地方可很难看到。

当然了，我刚刚举例的金老师，因为是浙江大学的学者，是国内的学者，不是国外的学者，所以相关信息要少一点。

很多国外的知名学者在ResearchGate上面的信息要丰富得多，如果你们要去关注的话，能够找到非常多有用的信息。

回到我们的题目，如何用ResearchGate做学术呢？

ResearchGate是一个工具，我们需要用它来获取对我们有用的信息。

当我们找不到研究题目的时候，我们不妨来ResearchGate上看一看：

别人是怎么研究的？

别人有哪些成果？

一些行业内的大牛正在干什么？

有哪些成果正在被更多人引用，这些成果是不是表明它是一个非常热门的研究方向？

把眼光紧盯着这个研究领域内一些非常热门的人以及热门的话题，说不定你就能够做出更多的成果，而且能够被更多的人发现。

所以你们赶紧都去注册一个账号吧。
