怎么样读文献才比较高效

我读书的时候每次看英文文献，都在心里告诉自己：

平时读英文文献已经很麻烦了，如果不趁着我难得看一次的机会多学点东西，就太亏了。

这个习惯一直保持到现在。

所以，现在做很多事情之前，都会认真想一下成本，如果不能一次性做完，而是要反反复复做同样的事，就太不划算了。

而现在我发现很多人做事情是不考虑时间成本的，我举个例子。

我有个学生小明，他今天要在试验室做试验，去试验室的时候发现要测量试验对象的尺寸，于是他跑到五金店买了皮尺。

回来之后又发现需要购买PVC套管，于是又返回五金店都买PVC套管。

试验开展到一半，师弟提醒他，是不是需要做一个对照试验，要想做对照试验的话，现有的试验材料是不够的，需要再去五金店跑一趟。

于是他一个上午过去了，都没做成试验，光是去五金店就跑了3趟。

不知道你是不是这个小明同学呢？

如果小明做事情有点规划的话，考虑到以后可能会有的时间成本，如果他在做一件事情之前把可能出现的问题尽可能考虑一下，然后把很多小事归为一类，做起来就高效很多。

比如小明一个上午都在做一件事，那就是去五金店买各种材料，如果他事先考虑到可能会出现的情况，那这些东西一趟就可以买了。

其实，这是一门很高深的学问，叫《统筹学》。

现在，我们来讲阅读英文文献的问题。

熟悉我的人都知道，我对学生的要求是比较高的，不过我不会过分强迫学生。我要求学生每个星期阅读3篇文献，而且不能是垃圾期刊的文章。这样的话，去除中间遇到的特殊情况不能按时阅读之外，一年大约能保证100篇文献的阅读量。

数量很关键，但我更看重质量，所以我要求大家阅读文献之后必须总结，并且规定了一些总结的总体方向，比如：

文献的基本信息（期刊、年限、作者）；
重要结论
重点公式
重点图片
个人收获
存在的问题及如何解决
…

这些都是我规定的内容，其余内容可以自由发挥。

为什么我要让大家总结并且规定了这些内容呢？

其实，这个可以从统筹学的角度解释一下。

我相信很多学生应该都有过这样的经历，自己看到一篇觉得还不错的文章，和自己研究的课题中某个部分也很契合，看完之后也有一些想法，思路很清晰。

但是，很可惜你没有记下来，于是你两天之后基本上就忘记了这篇文章中的亮点，以及你看这篇文章时的想法。

特别是当你读到一些英文文章的时候，因为语言不通，能够顺利把文章读懂就已经不错了，还要能够理解，并且运用到自己的研究中，如果你没有在阅读的时候记录并总结，很快就忘得差不多了。

所以，阅读文献的时候必须记录和总结。拳不离手，曲不离口，说的也是这个道理。

下面解释一下为什么我要规定这么多限制内容。

首先，我们心里得明白一件事，做任何事情都是有时间成本的，包括阅读文献也是。

本来，你可以打球、逛街、吃饭和看电影的时间，为什么要拿来看文献呢？

不管你是被导师逼的也好，或者是主动阅读文献寻找灵感也好，我们阅读文献的时候也要考虑时间成本。

假如我指定你看一篇英文文献，你要整整一天时间看完，看的时候什么也没记录。

看完之后我问你，本文的研究方法是什么？试验？仿真？还是理论？

你的收获是什么？

本文的研究结论解决了什么问题？还有哪些不足之处？如果你是作者，你打算怎么解决？

看到了么，如果你没有记录的话，根本没办法回答我。

或者我一个问题一个问题地问你，如果你没记录和总结的话，最可能出现的情况就是我每问一个问题，你都要重新看一遍文章，本来你一天时间就看完这篇文章了，结果现在可能要花两三天时间才能回答我的问题。

这中间的时间差，你拿去看电影也好啊，为什么要一遍遍反复地浪费在无用功上面呢？

所以，要想高效地看文章，记录与总结是必不可少的。

那该怎么记录呢？用笔记本还是Word呢？用表格还是图片呢？

这里，我给大家介绍一种记录和总结的方法，我一直让学生这么做，那就是在Word或者是Excel中用记录，先说一下为什么这么做。

之所以推荐你们用Word或者Excel记录，是为了让你们在日后复盘的时候能够快速找到当时记录的内容。用笔记本记录也很好，但是有一个很大的问题就是，不够便捷。

假如我看上了别人文献中的图片，觉得很有价值，我难道还要把人家的图片画在笔记本上么？

假如我要根据文献标题找之前的记录，难道我还要一页页往回翻么？

而Word或则Excel中只需要Ctrl+F就可以查找了。

至于要记录的内容，就是我前面说的那些：

文献的基本信息（期刊、年限、作者）
重要结论
重点公式
重点图片
个人收获
存在的问题及如何解决
